Clathrus Ruber
Clathrus ruber, commonly known as the Red Cage fungus, is one of the most striking and unusual fungi found in nature. Its bright red lattice structure gives it a sculptural, almost alien appearance. Though inedible and foul-smelling, it plays an important ecological role as a decomposer.
